Snow Days are pretty much what they sound like: days full of snow. In Denton snow days are not annual. As a result snow is looked upon with both fear and excitement by the community, and even light snowfall can lead to work and school cancellations.

Ice Days lead to similar cancellations but are much less fun. Snow days can turn into ice days when snow melts partially and refreezes, leading to dangerously slippery side walks and roads. Because Dentonites don't have much experience with cold weather, these conditions can lead to more frequent accidents and injuries than would be expected in more northern areas.
