We value originality, innovative thinking, community improvements, and relationships with patrons. Our vision is to use craft beer to bring people together through new experiences with beer. Our open-mindedness and creative-spirit are the keys in providing consistent attractive returns on investment and quality relationships with our customers.

A little bit about how Ugly Rugger came to form: Over a year ago, we began brewing homemade beer. Something that was a hobby between the two of us, turned into a possible business endeavor. After the first dozen batches, we began brain-storming ideas for our future brewpub. It was a pipe-dream in the beginning, but after a weekend of brewery tours in San Antonio we became determined to spread our passion for craft beer through our own creative new business idea. Our name was chosen after tasting our first batch. It was a stout that was strong and dark so it came to us naturally as Ugly Rugger. A few months later, we decided to make that the company name because of the potential of the creative message, and the influence rugby had on our lives. Our goals for the company are to spread the love of craft beer through our relationships with our patrons and to create an environment at the brewpub that allows for creative thinking and innovative inventions.
