John Turner-McClelland lives in Paloma Creek near Little Elm and gets to Denton often. He is the first openly gay male ( LGBT ) elected official in Denton County. He serves as President of the Board of Directors of Denton County Fresh Water Supply District 11A since 2010. He is also the founding President of Stonewall Democrats of Denton County
