Why Solar or Wind? Not only has the price of electricity been increasing over the last several years, our current energy source, fossil fuels will be in short supply in the years to come. Many home owners are choosing to offset their energy bills by installing solar or wind systems. Solar is quiet, clean, no moving parts and very little maintenance. Installation is quick and easy. Your new system will be up and running in a few weeks!

  • No moving parts
  • Efficient, on-site Power Production
  • Will produce power for 30 Plus years
  • Huge tax advantage and incentives
  • Positive cash flow immediately
  • Inexhaustible energy source

Solar or PV systems will produce electricity for 30 years or more. What will grid-tied electricity rates look like in 30 years? Most of us know the answer. Imagine owning your very own energy generating system, free from the control of the utility company for years to come!

Wind Energy Systems work well on farms, ranches, and is some urban locations

Solar Electric Systems:

Solar Electric- gleanPower uses premium quality solar modules for your system. All have top ratings in the industry and backed with a 25 year warranty, expertly installed by our team of technicians.

First step is to perform an evaluation of your energy consumption based on your usage from the last 12 months in kilowatt hours (kWh). Next, we calculate the amount of sun your roof top is receiving during the day, any shading from trees or other structures that might impede your production, the angle of the panels along with roof direction for the estimate of your system size. gleanPower will prepare a detailed quote and financial workup so you can decide if it is time for you to invest in this inexhaustible energy source.

Incentive & Rebates: Utility providers in the state of Texas have incentives & rebates listed on the Database of State Incentives for Renewable Energy (DSIRE)www.dsireusa.org website. The Federal Government is currently providing a 30% tax credit on the cost of your solar system.

Monitoring Your Energy Production: gleanPower offers optional remote monitoring to track your energy production. Remote troubleshooting and email alert is another advantage of the monitoring system.

Commercial

Evaluation & Planning: Part of the design in a commercial application is the cost analysis of electricity from all sources. Many commercial buildings benefit from different types of energy upgrades including solar. Check the Database of State Incentives for Renewable Energy (DSIRE)www.dsireusa.org website for the current incentives for Texas.

For year 2011, the Federal Government is allowing companies additional depreciation of 100% of the adjusted basis of the system. Traditional MACRS depreciation can be taken as well as the 30% Tax Grant you can take immediately. gleanPower and their team of engineers carefully design a system that will provide the energy production and provide positive cash flow for next 30 years.

The payback is rapid and 2011 proves to be the year for solar with the additional 100% depreciation offered!

  • 30% Grant (through 2011)
    • Money in 60 Days
  • 2011 Allows MACRS + 100% Depreciation Year 1
    • Without offsetting profit
    • 2012 will drop to 50% year 1
  • Equipment Cost - Lowest Ever
    • Prediction: cost will rise with expanding demand
  • No property tax increase for added renewable assets…
    • Property value obviously increases by asset value plus the future values of building that produces power

Engineering & Design:
Permitting and all design work is done in house and conforms to 2011 electrical code and national building code. gleanPower offers professional solar design services for a variety of solar applications including solar & wind project feasibility studies, performance projections and financial performance projections. We also draft the plans and submit permit applications along with local utility rebate forms for you.

System Installation:
Typical rooftop installations can be done with minimal impact to business operations. Length of time from start to finish is about 4-9 weeks. This is everything from evaluation to flipping the switch.

Monitoring & Maintenance:
All commercial systems include remote monitoring. Monitoring your system will provide real-time energy production and system information. Some customers even utilize the feeds for employee awareness or marketing. As the integrator, monitoring allows gleanPower to troubleshoot any issues or system status online. See example here: 75kw Photovoltaic System
