The Time Capsule

The Time Capsule was buried on September 12, 1992 by the First State Bank on the corner of Hickory Street and Locust Street, on the Square, in Denton, Texas. It was to be opened 20 years later on September 12th, 2012 to celebrate the bank's 100th anniversary.  This date came and went with little to no mention of its opening.  On September 13th, 2012 at 12:01 AM, a small group of citizens, spearheaded by Glen Farris,​ gathered to celebrate the time capsule that never was.
