Housing
In August 2011, CDC was using grant funding to rehabilitate up to nine homes in Boston-Edison. One home was scheduled to get $150,000 in repairs and an expected appraisal value of $75,000. The organization homes that police officers will get the homes through Project 14, but anyone with a qualifying income can apply. Buyers need to participate in the organization's homebuyer education program.
Food outreach
Their Peaches and Greens store sells fresh produce. They have a produce truck that operates like an ice cream truck -- but healthier! You can also schedule home delivery in the 48202 or 48206 zip codes.
They operate a deli and ice cream shop Mr. Fo Fo's and The Freeze.
