Daphne Means Curtis is a judge of the 3rd Circuit Court in Wayne County, Michigan.
Daphne and her husband Paul Curtis are owners of the Wurlitzer Building in downtown Detroit. The building has been crumbling, and the couple has resisted court orders to stabilize it for years. In 2015, Wayne County Judge Robert Colombo ordered the couple to finally take action. They owe $20,000 in back taxes on the property. Falling bricks from the property have prevented water main repairs to the neighboring 1515 Broadway coffee shop, which has been forced to use water from a fire hydrant.
