Gilbert Maddox (d. 2013) was a Detroit broadcaster known for his Profiles in Black television show.

Gilbert Maddox was a broadcaster, educator and historian, and is best known to many Detroiters as the host and producer of "Profiles in Black" -- an interview show  on Channel 4 in Detroit during the 1970s that showcased African Americans from Joe Louis to basketball star Dave Bing..
