Closed in 1997. Photos on dETROITfUNK show books, chairs, and other supplies still piled in the deteriorating library.
In July 2011, the Library said at a community meeting that it planed to demolish the branch quickly. They cited difficulty securing the branch in the decision. Earlier, a DPL pro-millage mailing said a millage would support re-opening the branch. The millage passed, but the branch will not be re-opened.
