The Scott Fountain on Belle Isle was donated by James Scott.
In September 2010, construction workers repairing the fountain destroyed the Pewabic tiles that lined its base. A fundraiser to replace them was announced for June 3, 2011, by the Friends of Belle Isle. The replacement cost was estimated at $200,000. Pewabic has the original plans for the tiles.
