De Vesci Terrace.

Much of the area of Monkstown and Dun Laoghaire was part of the Longford/De Vesci estate.

Griffiths Valuation of the 1850s shows Lord DeVesci having a large house at 26 Merrion Square North, and having 115 properties in the civil parish of Monkstown (which includes Kingstown, Bullock, Glenageary, and Monkstown).  These properties were among the largest and most valuable in the area.  Curiously, he is shown as only owning one house on DeVesci Terrace, and that is number 11, then occupied by Lady Guillamore

The De Vesci family seat was at Abbeyleix.

The De Vesci family shield, crest, and motto is mounted over the houses in De Vesci Terrace
