Local Produce

Duluth Farmers Market, open Saturday mornings and Wednesday afternoons.

The Duluth Farmers Market located in the long, low, red building on 14th Ave. E. and 3rd St opens in May and offers just about everything that will grow in our northern climate, grown by local farmers.

The Lincoln Park Farmers Market located at  the Harrison Community Center, 3002 W. 3rd St, Duluth, is open from June thru October.  This market sells produce from local vendors and produce grown in various gardens around town, which are part of the Seeds of Success program.  A little article about how the Lincoln Park Farmers market came into being.

UMD Farmers Market operates Wednesday afternoons in the growing season. Find it at 1120 Kirby Drive (in the bus hub) on the UMD campus. This market sells produce grown by members of the Lake Superior Sustainable Farming Association.  LSSFA is a non-profit coalition of producers and consumers moving farm practices and food systems into a sustainable future.

Chester Bowl holds a farmers market as part of their Fall Fest.

Superior Downtown Farmers Market it located at  1530 Tower Ave.

Barker's Island Farmers Market is at Highway 2\53 & Marina Drive.

Locally Grown at the Restaurant

The  Duluth Grill and At Sara's Table Chester Creek Cafe serve up produce they grow.  The New Scenic also uses locally grown produce and meat.

Pastured, Cage-free, Sustainable

Clover Valley Farms sells pastured raised chickens and ducks directly to customers. They also make and sell awesome vinegar and have workshops on various topics..

Eat Wild has a directory of farms that provide pastured and cage-free meat, chicken, and eggs.

Locally Laid is not so far, and their cage-free eggs are available at the Whole Foods Coop and Twin Ports Super One groceries.  And if you are lucky, one of your co-workers or neighbors might have some spare eggs to share.  www.duluthcitychickens.org

Northern Waters Smokhaus smokes, fish, meat, and dry cures various meats. They are committed to using locally and sustainably raised meat and fish. And mighty tasty, I might add.
