The Duluth Area Move to Amend chapter has been active since 2011.

The chapter aims to raise awareness in the area about the Citizen's United corporate personhood ruling of the U.S. Supreme Court, whereby corporation can make unlimited political contributions, and the Move to Amend movement which seeks a constitutional amemdment to define a person as a living, breathing individual, NOT a corporation.

Locally, the Duluth City Council has endorsed the amendment, and in 2015 the Duluth Area chapter is collecting signatures for a Duluth city ballot initiative in 2016 that would put the amendment question to Duluth voters.
