The Bayshore Mall is the local shopping mall, it's located of Broadway Street (Highway 101). it opened in 1987 (officially opening in 1989), the anchor stores were Meryvn's & JCPenney, with Gottschalks & Sears joining shortly after, JCPenney closed in 2000, with the anchor being spilit up into Borders (now TJ Maxx) & Bed Bath & Beyond, Mervyn's closed in late of 2008, Gottschalks closed in mid of 2009, with the site of Mervyn's became Kohl's, & the Gottschalks becoming Walmart.
