The City of Fremont's Festival of the Arts has a 31-year history of fun in the sun and hosts a wide variety of activities and entertainment for the entire family. The event has over 700 top-quality artisan booths to the delight of the most-discerning shoppers, music lovers and children who are thrilled with the many games and activities in "Kid City". There is a gourmet marketplace for the discerning cook with a Wine Garden also present.

The best news of all is that admission to the Festival of the Arts is free. This year, 2014, the Festival will be held on Saturday and Sunday, August 2 & 3 at 10 A.M-6 P.M.

               For Kids

Family Fun at the Fremont Festival of the Arts is just down the street from the many artisans and performers this year. Stroll through the Festival to State Street and your kids will be rewarded with a place to enjoy activities created just for them. This family-centered area is filled with activities that are engaging and entertaining with performers on the Kid City stage and hands-on activities provided by the Fremont/Newark YMCA. Traditional amusements and rides provide a unique activity space that goes beyond the typical fair offering of carnival rides.

Hand-Crafted Art: Still the Heart of the Festival

Despite many changes and additions to the Fremont Festival of the Arts over its 28 years, the beautiful and varied works of art offered by over 600 participating artisans remain the heart and soul of the Festival. Whether you are looking for a standout work of art for your home, an intricately designed piece of jewelry, a distinctive article of clothing, or that perfect gift for the holidays, you are sure to find it among the many unique hand-crafted creations that stretch over 4 walking miles of the Festival.

             The Fremont Festival's Wine Garden

Have you been missing out? In its 13th year, the Wine Garden at the Festival of the Arts offers festival-goers a private, shady and restful oasis where they can savor premium wines from local wineries and enjoy a delicious buffet lunch. The only venue within the Festival that requires an entry ticket, the Wine Garden provides you with an "upscale'' experience right in the heart of the Festival.

Eat at the Festival- It's Good for Your heart!

From "Silly Spuds" to funnel cakes to linguica to Philly Cheese Steak sandwiches, we love our Festival food! But what you may not realize is that whatever your preference, when you buy food to eat at the Festival, you are supporting a local non-profit organization. In place of the traditional food vendors who travel from outdoor festival to indoor festival, Fremont's Festival of the Arts has invited local non-profit organizations to provide the food at the Festival as a fundraising opportunity for their organizations.

In addition to the food booths, Fremont has once again welcomed Food Truck Mafia and their gourmet food trucks to the event for the second year. So, get into temptation at the festival and eat! It'll make your heart feel good!

Music at the Fremont Festival: Always Free, Always Groovy!

The Fremont Festival of the Arts is back again for its 30th year with a large variety of music to please every taste! Two stages of free music! One stage at Paseo Padre Parkway and Mowry Avenue and the other stage at State Street and Beacon Ave.
