The Pufferbelly Trail is a trail that when complete will go from downtown Fort Wayne to the county line. The route of the trail mostly follows an old railroad right of way. The trail is currently complete from Dupont road to Wallen road, and a small section around the Parkview Sports center. The section from Fernhill Avenue to State street was 30% complete as of September 2017, with its completion estimated for November of the same year. The section from State to Fourth Street could begin construction in October of 2017, and should be complete by the end of June 2018. The section from Ludwig Road to Wallen Road was under construction as of September 2017. The Pufferbelly trail will eventually be part of the larger trail the connects Pokagon State Park with Ouabache State Park
