The person who built this house is unknown. However, Ezra T. Nelson resided here at the turn on the century. (from 1903) Mr. Nelson, president of the Nelson Matter Furniture Co. was born in 1824 in Mass. Where he attended elementary, high school and college at Cambridge. In 1836 he came to visit his brother here but it wasn't until 1844 that he settled permanently, and entered the employ of Henry R. Williams.
