Adobe In & Out is a locally-owned chain of Mexican-themed fast food restaurant in the SWAN neighborhood of Grand Rapids. It is known for its wet burritos. The downtown location at 617 Fulton Street W is a favorite amongst downtown Grand Valley State University students due to its proximity to campus. The drive-thru on Fulton Street appears to accept walk-thru customers, which gives Adobe In & Out a competitive edge over Taco Bell for the pedestrian microwaved-Mexican food enthusiast.

History

The Adobe was once a full sit-down restaurant on Fulton Street with an express satellite location across the street, but at some point in the 1990s both buildings were demolished. The drive-thru location was rebuilt as a slightly larger facility. The former main location remains an empty lot. It has since developed into a local chain, with three more In & Out locations opening around town.
