The East Grand Rapids Branch of the Kent District Library system opened in 1959. In 1969, the library moved to its present location. In 2005–2006, the library underwent a renovation more than doubling its size.
History room
There is a history room in the library that documents the people and places that compose the history of East Grand Rapids. It is located in the upper level of the library and curated by Mary Dersch.
