The Aardvark was originally the name for the house at 859 Ardmore SE. Housing Daniel Spalink, David Riley, Samuel de Walle, and Chad Vickery, it was home to many odd traditions and projects
The Aardvark was not only the institution responsible for the conversion of a Dodge Neon into a Jeff Gordon and Dale Earnhardt racecar, but was also responsible for many other juicy (half-baked?) projects such as the Hovercraft Collective and Project Oxidation.
On January 17 of 2007, the house was set ablaze and deemed uninhabitable. It has since been rehabilitated and brought to the market for sale.
Currently the Aardvark, now concept, has dispersed within Grand Rapids, to Chicago and Vancouver.
