Word on the Street is a weekly mass-email (with thousands of recipients) and blog created and written by Jenn Schaub. Released each Wednesday or Thursday, Word on the Street includes information about arts events for the coming week, including gallery openings, films, music shows, and random occurrences. It also occasionally includes opportunities for artists to connect, job openings, garage sales, and rental vacancies.
Methodology
True to the title, this publication is not comprehensive, nor is it intended to be. Instead, it is what Ms. Schaub hears about throughout the week and what people ask her to include.
Nickname
Ms. Schaub and others simply call the publication "Word".
