Friction Records is an independent record label that is owned and operated in Eastown by Jeff Vandenberg. While certainly not limited in scope, Friction Records has a tendency to release loud rock, hardcore, and experimental music by artists in Grand Rapids, Chicago, "Up North," and Indiana.
