Delta Chi Xi is a co-educational honorary dance fraternity founded at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. The organization was founded on April 20, 2010 by Kara Jenelle Wade, Jennifer Renee Cheek and Kristina Michelle Rogers along with 14 other charter members as an honors society which later became an honors fraternity. In November 2013, they joined the professional fraternity association becoming the first and only organization for collegiate dancers of its kind. The purpose of the organization can be explained by their six P.O.I.N.T.E. program. The acronym stands for Personal health and awareness, Outreach and service through dance and humanities, International studies and programs, Networking and career exploration, Technique and professional training, and Education of the arts. Application requirements for the organization require the student to be a registered dance major or minor, and possess a 3.0 GPA or higher. As of today, the organization has several undergrad chapters and one alumni chapter.

The Alpha Chapter of Delta Chi Xi Honorary Dance Fraternity Inc. currently resides at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro under the advising of Amy Masters. Over the past few years, they have hosted such events as Breast Cancer Awareness Halloween charity events, business seminars and workshops to prepare students for professional work environments and help build resumes, their annual charity dance concert, and much more. As of recently, they have adopted a street near the campus to clean up as part of their community service. The Alpha chapter continues to find innovative and creative ways to spread their knowledge of the arts and reach out to the community.
