History

Union Coffee Co. is a beloved coffee shop in the center of downtown Greensboro, with two locations. It is also a non-profit business that is fostered by United City Greensboro. From tits beginning, there was a clear message about what the owners wanted to get across through and with the store. They wanted to provide great coffee and give back to the world by helping enhance clean water in the world. And they have been doing just that.

Coffee Experience

The coffee experience that guest receive is taken very serious, so it's no surprise that they partner with the internationally known, Black and White Coffee Roasters, in Raleigh, North Carolina. Both coffee shops focus on high quality coffee, and also a high quality relationship with small farmers, local and across the globe.

Clean Water campaign

The coffee shop has been devoted to an indefinite clean water campaign since it opened. They make this happen by saving all of their net profit and donating that to clean water initiatives across the world. They recognize that coffee doesn't exist without water, and the fact is 785 millions people in the world live in situations where clean water is not an option. In 2020, the shop was able to successfully help fund a school in Haiti's school project, and built a solar powered water dispenser. In 2021, they have aimed to reach even more and complete clean water projects in India and Cambodia. They plan on doing this with multiple partnerships, the customers,  and partners Neverthirst & World Hope International.
