Welcome to Home Orchard Education Center

A community serving organization centered around an established fruit focused arboretum, located in historic Oregon City.

HOEC offers horticultural education, an organic fruit share CSA program, and opportunity for intergenerational connection, within a unique community orchard setting. This special gathering place is a humming hive of community collaboration and hub for distribution of fresh, local, organically grown fruit.

Learn to grow, tend, and harvest fruit using sustainable methods! HOEC workshops provide comprehensive hands-on learning opportunities that support organic fruit growing and orchard management. We welcome learners of all ages and experience levels; from the curious backyard gardener or local homesteader, to those working in community gardens or managing a larger orchards.

One small step to support a resilient local food system

Become a Part of Our Farm!

Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is a mutually beneficial harvest sharing model, based on a relationship between Farmer and Customer. Rather than simply purchasing fruit, customers become “Supporting Subscribers” of the farm, and in trade receive a portion of the harvest.

Supporting subscribers like you, provide smaller operations like Home Orchard Education Center with essential funding needed to make the season’s harvest possible. Proceeds from this program help keep the gates to our well loved arboretum open, and support our mission to provide affordable, fruit focused education to the community.

Put your skills to work while learning something new.

HOEC is here to grow, educate, contribute, and collaborate. To do that, we need you!
