The Building Committee of the Gabriels Presbyterian Church met at the home of Mr. and Mrs. William Otis. The lot owned by Dr. Graves between the Old Riley Hotel and the Bon Dewey[sic] residence is being purchased as the site for the new church.

Those who are to become members of the new church voted to purchase the lot at the last open meeting held. Beginning on March 1, and continuing until the church is completed, Presbyterian services will be in the Gabriels school house each week at 8:45 a.m. The Rev. Jesse Corum will be in charge.
