Albert E. Demerse, 69, of 63 Riverside Drive died at 1 a. m. today at Sunmount Veterans Hospital. Mr. Demerse, a carpenter by trade, was born in Saranac Lake in 1894. He was the son of William Demerse and Mary DeLisle.
Survivors include two children, Edmund of Plattsburgh and Jeanine Denis of Germany. He is also survived by four brothers, Leo and Russell of Saranac Lake, Francis of California, Sever of Chicago; two sisters, Mrs. Frank Buck, Sr. and Mrs. Robert Bouck, both of Saranac Lake and 14 grandchildren.
Mr. Demerse was a member of the American Legion and that organization will hold services Thursday night at 7:30 followed by a Rosary Service at 8.
The body is reposing in the Garden Chapel of the Keough and Son Funeral Home where friends may call between 2 and 4 p. m. and 7 and 10 p. m. Thursday.
A funeral mass will be celebrated at 9 a. m. Friday in St. Bernard's Church. Burial will be in St. Bernard's Cemetey.
