Albert Kunath was a World War II veteran.  He was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank W. Kunath of 3 1/2 Dorsey Street.

SARANAC LAKE - Albert "Bing" Kunath, 68, a resident of Vermontville died Tuesday evening, Dec. 14, at the General Hospital of Saranac Lake.

He was born April 28, 1914, in Utica, the son of Frank and Irene (McGuire) Kunath and had lived in the Saranac Lake area most of his life.

Mr. Kunath had been employed by the Parks and Traffic Control Division of the Village of Saranac Lake for 15 years, retiring in 1979.

He was a veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his mother of Rochester; four daughters, Mrs. Sandra Duso, Mrs. Wendy Houck, Mrs. Ann Scheefer and Mrs. Karen Cordaro, all of Saranac Lake; seven sons, Peter of Long Island, Paul of Lake Clear, Kenneth, Ronald, Jeffrey and Michael, all of Saranac Lake, and Randy of Vermontville; 18 grandchildren; a brother, Frank of Utica; and a sister, Mrs. Geraldine Cole of Rochester.

There will be no calling hours. The funeral service will be held at 7:30 p.m., today at the Fortune Funeral Home with the Rev. John Yonkovig officiating.

Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Vermontville, in May.

Memorial donations may be made to the Saranac Lake Rescue Squad or the American Cancer Society.
