Amos C. Erkander

Amos C. Erkander, died early today at his home, 36 Kiwassa Road, Saranac Lake. He was 77 years of age.

Mr. Erkander was born July 31, 1890 in Michigan and came to Saranac Lake about 1924. In 1926 he formed the Adirondack Piano Company. He was a veteran of World War I, a member of American Legion Post 614, a life member of Lodge 1508, BPOE, and a member of the World War I Last Man's Club.

He was married on Jan. 3, 1925 at Trinity Church in New York City to Ann Louise Geis who died on April 7 of this year. Mrs. Erkander had operated nursing cottages in Saranac Lake.

A brother, Elias Erkander, of Ledgewood, N. J., survives.

Friends may call at the Fortune Funeral Home, beginning Friday. The funeral service has been set tentatively for 2 p. m. Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Pine Ridge Cemetery.
