Bernard B. Chesbrough was a World War II veteran.   He was a son of Leslie and Lilias (Rousaw) Chesbrough.

SARANAC LAKE - Bernard Chesbrough, 63, of 98 Lake St. in Saranac Lake died Wednesday at the General Hospital of Saranac Lake after a long illness.

He was born in Saranac Lake May 10, 1919 the son of Leslie and Lilias (Rousaw) Chesbrough.

He was a life-long resident of Saranac Lake and a veteran of World War II and the Korean War. Mr. Chesbrough was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion.

He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Lilias Chesbrough of Brushton; a close friend, Mrs. Louise Ratelle of Saranac Lake; four brothers. Leon of Saranac Lake, Leslie, Jr., of Brushton,  Harold of Malone and Murland of Nicholville; two sisters, Mrs. Clifford (Iola) Kumm of Lockport and Mrs. Gynath Burnell of Nashville, Tenn.; and several nieces and nephews and several grandnieces and grand-nephews.

The body will repose at the Keough and Son Funeral Home in Saranac Lake. Family members may call this evening. Calling hours for friends arc tomorrow afternoon and evening from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.

Services will be at the Keough and Son Funeral Home Saturday with The Rev. Harold Clark of the Saranac Lake Baptist Church officiating.

Burial will be in the spring.
