Mrs. Ambrose D. McKillip, who taught school in Saranac Lake for many years, died last night at Saranac Lake General Hospital at the age of 80. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Keough and Son Memorial Chapels.
Mrs. McKillip was born Bernice Garey on July 24, 1888 in Moira. She was the daughter of John and Mary Driscoll Garey. She attended Brushton High School and Teachers Training Class. In 1922 she married to Mr. McKillip and had lived in Saranac Lake ever since.
Survivors are a son, Lawrence, a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Betty McKillip; two sisters, Mrs. Frances Desmond of North Lawrence and Mrs. Margaret Keenan of Brasher Falls.
A Rosery service will be held at 8 p. m. Sunday at the funeral chapel. A requiem High Mass will be offered at 10 a. m. Monday at the Saranac Lake Methodist Church. Burial will be in St. Bernard's Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-4 and 7-9 p. m., beginning Saturday.
