Beulah Belle Bombard Biddlecombe was the daughter of Giles Bombard and Edith Crawford Bombard.

She graduated from Saranac Lake High School in 1927 and attended the Eastman School of Music in Rochester and later the Crane Institute in Potsdam.

She died in Hyannis, Massachusetts at age 100.

Beulah Biddlecombe

ORLEANS — Beulah Bombard Biddlecombe, 100, a longtime resident of Orleans, and a retired public school music teacher, died Dec. 14, 2008, at The Orleans Convalescent & Retirement Center.

She was the wife of the late George E. Biddlecombe, with whom she shared 61 years of marriage.

Mrs. Biddlecombe was born and raised in Saranac Lake, N.Y., and graduated from the local schools. She attended The Eastman School of Music, Rochester, N.Y., and graduated from The Crane School of Music, Potsdam State College, New York, as a supervisor of music.

Mrs. Biddlecombe taught in the South Orange-Maplewood School District in New Jersey and the Springfield, N.J., grade schools.

She moved to Orleans in 1968 to begin retirement.

Mrs. Biddlecombe is survived by a son, George E. Biddlecombe III and his wife, Susan, of San Bernardino, Calif.; a daughter, Nancy B. Crowley and her husband, Lawrence, of Danvers; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be private.
