Bill Grogan opened the Waterhole #3 with Mike Devlin, May 1st 1970. He organized the first Saranac Lake River Cleanup carried out by students of NCCC and Paul Smith's Colleges in the late summer of that year, as well as a later cleanup of McKenzie Pond Road. He also served as co-chair of the 1972 Winter Carnival the year the Chamber of Commerce declined to run it. He also opened the Coach and Four on Broadway.
