SARANAC LAKE - Mrs. Catherine Moody, 87, of 4 Kiwassa Road, died Tuesday evening, May 17, at the General Hospital of Saranac Lake.
She was born Sept. 7, 1895, in Lancaster, Pa., the daughter of Joseph G. and Clara E. (Horton) Aierstock.
Her husband, Alfred Moody, whom she wed in 1929, died in 1969.
Survivors include a son John of Goldsboro, North Carolina; a sister, Laura Aierstock of Lancaster, Pa.; and two granddaughters, Mrs. Suzanne Ward and Rebecca Lynn Moody, both of Goldsboro.
Mrs. Moody had been a resident of Saranac Lake for the past 50 years, and along with her husband had operated the Alfred A. Moody Insurance Agency for many years, until their retirement.
Calling hours will be held at the Fortune Funeral Home today from 7 to 9 p.m.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m., tomorrow at the funeral home, with the
Rev. Richard Chatterton, pastor of the First United Methodist Church, officiating.
Burial will be in Pine Ridge Cemetery. _ Catherine Moody was a member of the Reviewers Club.
