Chester H. Tolbert, 72, died at his home at 50 Woodruff Street, Saranac Lake on Sunday after a long illness.

Mr. Tolbert was born June 5, 1890 in Oak Harbor, O., [sic, probably Ohio] son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Tolbert. He was a barber and retired about 25 years ago.

Survivors are his wife, the former Elizabeth Coulon; a son, John, of Saranac Lake; a sister, two brothers and a grandchild.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 10 o'clock at the Madonna Chapel at the Keough and Sons Funeral Home. A Rosary Service will be held there Tuesday evening at 8:30. A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Bernard's Church at 9 a. am. Wednesday. Burial will be in St. Bernard's Cemetery.
