A number of cottages in Saranac Lake have been called the "Collins Cottage". For a number of them, the name appears only in the Disinfection Records of the Village Board of Health; those records give no indication of who the operator of the cottage was, they simply list a cottage name.
The first three cottages below are known to have been operated by Ruth Collins, the head nurse in the infirmary at the Adirondack Cottage Sanitarium.
- Collins/Beattie Cottage, 76 Park Avenue (NHRP), operated by Ruth Collins from 1912 to about 1920.
- Arthur Arms/Beattie Cottage, 74 Park Avenue, operated by Ruth Collins in 1911; listed as the Collins Cottage in 1912.
- Helen Scopes Turner Cottage, 96 Park Avenue, operated by Ruth Collins in 1910; listed as the Collins Cottage in 1912.
