SARANAC LAKE - F. Earl Kinville, 86, of 1 Birch St., Saranac Lake, died on Saturday, May 4, 2002 at his home. Born in St. Regis Falls on June 15, 1915, he was the son of Arthur and Lottie (Roberts) Kinville.

Mr. Kinville founded Amusement and Vending in 1942 in Saranac Lake, which he operated from his home on Forest Hill Avenue. He moved his business to Birch Street in 1960 and continued to operate it until 1976, when his son Bill took over. His grandson Michael is the third generation in the Kinville family to operate the business.

Mr. Kinville enjoyed attending area fiddling events as well as gardening and fishing.

He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Joan Gillicksen and her husband Roy of Saranac Lake; a daughter-in-law, Sally Kinville of Saranac Lake; five grandchildren: Michael Kinville of Saranac Lake, Kim Kinville of Chittenden, Vt., Amy McCormick of Canton, Jodi Revill of Potsdam and Shari Abedi of Mykvarn, Sweden and four great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his wife, the former Josephine Prue, on Dec. 2, 1988 and his son, William Kinville.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, May 7 at 3 p.m. at St. Bernard's Cemetery in Saranac Lake. Friends wishing to remember Mr. Kinville may make memorial contributions to the American Heart Association or to the Saranac Lake Volunteer Fire Department Rescue Squad in care of the Fortune-Keough funeral Home.
