EARL W. MARTIN DIES SUDDENLY

Earl W. Martin, 42 , died suddenly late yesterday afternoon while at work cutting feed for the deer on the Rockefeller Park Preserve. Franklin Coroner Ronald Keough was called. He had the body removed to the Fortune Funeral Home and issued a statement of death due to natural causes.

Martin had been employed as a maintenance man on the Park for the past eight years. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the army in the tank corps. He was born Dec. 1, 1917 in Bloomingdale and was the son of Paul and Lea Wilson Martin.

Survivors include his mother, who makes her home in Paul Smiths; his wife, the former Genevieve Robideau; two daughters, Sandra Lee, 12, and Sonia Alice, 7; two brothers, Millard of Rochester, and Harland of Massena.

His body will repose at his mother's home on Easy Street, Paul Smiths, where there will be a service at 2 p.m. Monday with the Rev. William McCready, pastor of the Presbyterian Church, officiating.

Interment will take place in St. John's-In-The-Wilderness Cemetery.
