Edgar F. Patnode was a World War II veteran.  He was a son of Alexander and Delia Boyea Patnode.

Edgar F. Patnode, 58, a lifelong resident of Lake Clear, died yesterday at Sunmount Hospital.

Mr. Patnode was born Aug. 28, 1905, son of Alexander and Delia Boyea Patnode. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of the Lake Clear Holy Name Society. He had worked for Frank Elliott in Lake Clear.

Survivors are his wife, the former Eileen Kennedy; two children, Paul and Ellen, at home; six sisters, Mrs. Earl Hesseltine of Tupper Lake, Mrs. Delore Yando of Plattsburgh, Mrs. Frank Elliott of Lake Clear, Mrs. Joseph Hull of Lake Clear, Mrs. Carl Stebbins of Miami. Fla. and Miss Helen Patnode of Miami, Fla.; and a brother Leo of Lake Clear.

Friends may call today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 10 at the Keough and Son Funeral Home. A Rosary Service will be held there tonight at 8 o'clock. A Requiem High Mass will be offered at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. John of the Wilderness Church in Lake Clear. Burial will be in May in St. John of the Wilderness Cemetery
