SARANAC LAKE - The funeral service for Edmund Raymond Girard. 62, who died Tuesday in Albuquerque, N.M , will be at 11:15 a.m. Saturday at St. Bernard's church with the Rev.  John McAvoy officiating.  Interment will be in St. Bernard's Cemetery.

Friends may call Friday afternoon and evening at the Keough and Son Memorial Chapel. A Bible Vigil will be held at 8:30 p.m.

Mr. Girard was born in Ogdensburg and had lived at 17 Edward St. Saranac Lake for 36 years.  He had been employed at Ray Brook State Hospital for 24 years and retired in 1970 because of his health.  In 1971 he moved to  Albuquerque.

Survivors are his wife, Theresa Martell Girard; four children: Edward, Terrie and Mrs. Richard (Carol) Herig of Albuquerque and Mrs. Ronald [illegible] Weiner of North [illegible], Pa; six grandchildren, a brother, Clarence of Utica; and two sisters, Mrs. Helene Sullivan of Saranac Lake and Mrs. Dorothy Rivers of Ogdensburg.

Mr. Girard's family requests that friends wishing to remember him make contributions to the Cancer Society.
