Born: 1837 in Saranac Lake, the last born child of Jacob Smith Moody and Sally B. Moody, the first settlers of Saranac Lake.

Died: 1890

Married: William Johnson from Saratoga County in 1855

Children: Ernest H. Johnson, born 1856, and John F. Johnson, born 1858

When they were first married, Eliza Moody Johnson and William Johnson lived with old Jacob, her father. By 1860, they had their own residence in the North Elba part of Saranac Lake, but in 1865 they were living with Eliza's brother, Martin Moody. Apparently Martin Moody and the Johnsons moved together to Tupper Lake in 1868, where they all lived the rest of their lives.
