Mrs. Elsie Wehs
Mrs. Elsie Wehs, 50, who, with her husband Frank, built and managed the Lakeside Motel, died at 11:30 Saturday evening at her home at 27 Lake Flower Avenue.
Mrs. Wehs was born in Germany on March 10, 1912, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Braun. She and Mr. Wehs came to Saranac Lake in 1944.
Survivors are two daughters, Mrs.Fred Herbert and Miss Joan Wehs of Saranac Lake, a grandson, and a sister, Mrs. Northborga Deuschle of Germany.
Friends may call at the Fortune Funeral Home where A Rosary Service will be said at 8 o'clock , this evening. A Solemn High Mass will be offered at St. Bernard's Church at 10 a. m. Tuesday. Burial will be in St. Bernard's Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be George Carter, Daniel Ward, Joseph Stephen, Frank Schmidt, Richard Goodrich and Robert Kampf.
