Emma DeLisle Lamy was the mother of skating legend Ed Lamy. She was the daughter of Marguerite LaPointe DeLisle and Joseph DeLisle.

Mrs. Fred C. Lamy

Mrs. Fred C. Lamy, 90, a resident of the Saranac Lake area for 75 years, died at Saranac Lake General Hospital on Saturday afternoon of a long illness.

Mrs. Lamy was born Emma DeLisle at Plattsburgh on March 24, 1872, a daughter of Joseph and Marguerite LaPointe DeLisle. Her husband a jeweler, died in 1948. Mrs. Lamy was a faithful member of St. Bernard's Church choir for over 60 years.

Survivors include two sons, Claude of Saranac Lake and Ernest of Warrensburg. A third son, Edmund who was a famous ice skater and member of the Speed Skating Hall of Fame, died Sept. 6. She is also survived by two sisters, Mrs. Richard Malloy of Saranac Lake and Mrs. George Hooley of Portland, Ore., nine grandchildren, ten great-grand-children and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Keough and Son Funeral Home today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 10 p. m. A Rosary Service will be held at the funeral home this evening at 8 o'clock. A Funeral Mass will be offered at 10 a. m. Tuesday at St. Bernard's Church. Burial will be in St. Bernard's Cemetery.
