Emma Guerin, stricken with tuberculosis, was admitted to the Ray Brook Sanatorium in Ray Brook, New York, on November 22, 1933. She came back to Altona April 6, 1934, and stayed at the Stark House for four months. She returned to the Ray Brook Sanatorium August 6, 1934. She died at Ray Brook September 14, 1934 . She was 34 years old.

MRS. ERNEST BURL

Mrs. Ernest Burl passed away at Ray Brook Sanitarium, Sept. 14th at the age of 34 years.

Mrs. Burl who was formerly Miss Emma Guerin, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Guerin had been ill about one year. Surviving her besides her husband and parents are seven children. Gerald, Donald, Leslie, Roger, Vernal, Lorraine and Ernest Jr., two brothers Ben and Arthur Guerin of Altona and four sisters. Mrs. Nina Leazotte of East Hampton, Mass., Mrs. Clara Rabideau, Mrs. Minnie Bushey and Mrs. Edith Smith of Altona.

Funeral services were conducted at Holy Angels Church, Tuesday morning. The pall bearers were Messrs. Raymond Stone, Jule Manor, Henry Burl, Gene Barnaby and Emile Burl. Sympathy is extended to the bereaved family by the people of this village.
