Ernest H. Walton, 42, died Sunday at Lake Katrine where he made his home.
Mr. Walton, a roofer, was born Aug. 16, 1926 in Sararnac Lake, a son of Ernest and Irene Quintell Walton. He was a veteran of World War II with service in the Navy and a member of VFW Post 6166 of Sharon Pa.
Survivors are his wife, the former Jean Kelly; his mother in Saranac Lake; a stepson Staff Sgt, Phelps Mace, Jr. of Clark Air Force Ease, the Philippines; three brothers, Raymond and Richard of Saranac Lake, and George of Rochester; four sisters, Mrs. Norman (Helen) Pelkey, Mrs. Harold (Ruth) LaVair, and Mrs. Raymond (Jean) Rock , all of Saranac Lake, and Mrs. Ronald (Geraldine) Dorre of Clearwater, Fla.; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Fortune Funeral Home where the Rosary will be said at 8 p. m. Friday. A Roman Catholic Funeral Mass will be offered at 10 a. m. Saturday at the Methodist Church. Burial will be in Pine Ridge Cemetery in May.
