SARANAC LAKE -- Eva Moody, 84, formerly of Edward Street in Saranac Lake, died Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2002 at Uihlein Mercy Center in Lake Placid where she had been a resident.

Born in Wilmington on May 10, 1918, Mrs. Moody was the daughter of Richard and Iva (Beaney) Pelkey.

Mrs. Moody was a resident of the Saranac Lake area for most of her life. She worked as a licensed practical nurse at the Will Rogers Hospital in Saranac Lake for several years and later at Sunmount, DDSO in Tupper Lake for several years. Mrs. Moody was an avid antique collector and was very active in her church at the North Country Christian Center.

She is survived by one daughter, Laura Favro of Saranac Lake; one son, Monroe Moody of Saranac Lake; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Monroe, in 1963; one brother, Richard Pelkey and one sister, Laura Hough, both of Lake Placid. . . . 

Burial will be in Pine Ridge Cemetery in Saranac Lake. . . .
