Felix Delisle Dies While Fishing Tuesday

While fishing in Lake Clear Tuesday afternoon, Felix Delisle, 63, of Saranac Lake was stricken with a heart attack and died before medical aid could be summoned. Delisle was with his lifelong friends, George Downing, also of Saranac Lake, when he was seized with the attack.

The two men had fished for several hours on Lake Clear when Delisle complained of indigestion. He tried simple remedies for relief, but grew steadily worse. Alarmed at the condition of his friend, Downing headed his boat to shore and reached the vicinity of the Taft school when Delisle lapsed into unconsciousness.

Delisle was a tinsmith by trade. He was a charter member of the Saranac Lake council, Knights of Columbus, Elks lodge and St. Bernard's Holy Name society.

In addition to his wife and daughters, Eileen, Kathleen and Winifred Delisle, he is survived by a brother, Nelson; five sisters, Mrs. William Demerse, Mrs. Fred Lamy, Mrs. Richard Lamoy, Mrs. Matthew M. Munn, all of Saranac Lake, and Mrs. George Hooley of Albany.
