Minnie Lewis

Mrs. Minnie C. Lewis, 70, of Dannemora, died at the CVPH Medical Center following a long illness.

Mrs. Lewis was born April 25, 1907 at Forestdale, NY daughter of Onico and Elizabeth (Sharrow) LaHart. She retired from Dannemora State Hospital in October, 1966 after 23 years of service.

Survivors include her husband, George Paul Lewis; two brothers, Wilfred LaHart of Forestdale and Roy LaHart Sr. of Dannemora; a sister, Mrs. James (Flora) Borrette of Forestdale; and two nephews, Roy LaHart Jr. of Dannemora and Robert LaHart of Rouses Point.

Funeral services were held from St. Josephs Church. The Mass was concelebrated by the Rev. Roger Martin, the Rev. Walter McMahon, retired pastor from Willsboro, and the Rev. John Looby, pastor of St. Matthews Church in Black Brook.

Bearers were Roy LaHart Jr., James Borrette, James Hassel, Robert LaHart, Leo Maggy Jr. and Raymond LaVarnway.

Burial was in St. Matthew's Cemetery in Black Brook where Father Looby recited committal prayers.
