Frances Lehman Loeb was a trustee of Vassar and Cornell University and an overseer of the New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center. She was a grand-daughter of Adolph Lewisohn, and a daughter of Arthur Lehman, of the investment banking family. She was a niece of Herbert H. Lehman, Governor of New York, and of Irving Lehman, Chief Judge of the New York State Court of Appeals.
With her husband, she owned Gull Bay Camp on Upper Saranac Lake.
