Francis Earl Seney was an operating engineer on construction jobs. He was a World War II veteran.  He was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Seney, Jr. of 5 Delaware Avenue.

LEWIS — Francis E. Seney, 73, Lewis, died Thursday, July 20, at Elizabethtown Community Hospital.

He was born in Saranac Lake Dec. 6, 1915, the son of Edward and Edith (Shelley) Seney.

Mr. Seney was a veteran of World War II.

He worked as an operating engineer on construction jobs most of his life.

Mr. Seney is survived by his wife, Alise (Haaland) Seney of Lewis; two daughters, Mrs. Linda (Miller) Clark of Sparta, N.J., and Mrs. Frances Clohan of Goldvein, Va.; one son; Robert Miller of Lewis and two grandchildren.

Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Gloria Boushie of Brasher Falls and Miss Joyce Seney of Orlando, Fla.; and three brothers, Rodger Seney of Deltona, Fla., Warren Seney of Orlando, Fla., and Norris Seney of Lake Placid.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Lewis Congregational Church.

Donations in Mr. Seney's memory may be made to the Elizabethtown-Lewis Ambulance Squad or the Cobble Hill Golf Association.

Marvin's Funeral Home in Elizabethtown is in charge of arrangements.
